RADIUS OVER TLS · TESTING UTILITY

Know what’s happening on the wire.

Test RadSec authentication and accounting, inspect TLS negotiation, and get the diagnostic detail you need to troubleshoot a connection.

Built to test RadiusStack RadSec functionality. Not limited to RadiusStack.

THE PURPOSE

Make RadSec testing less of a guessing game.

RadSec carries RADIUS traffic over TLS. When a test fails, the useful answer may be in the certificate chain, the TLS handshake, the proxy path, or the RADIUS reply. This tool brings those pieces together in one web console.

01 /

Check the secure channel

Configure a RadSec destination and certificate material, then see the TLS handshake and peer-verification detail in the debug trace.

02 /

Exercise AAA traffic

Send authentication Access-Requests and accounting requests, including Start, Interim-Update, and Stop, to test the path end to end.

03 /

See where it fails

Inspect FreeRADIUS proxy diagnostics alongside the request and response instead of relying on a simple pass-or-fail result.

THE ORIGIN

Made for RadiusStack.
Useful beyond it.

RadSec Test Tool was built to test the RadSec functionality of RadiusStack, a RADIUS AAA platform. It is a separate testing utility and can be used by anyone for any purpose, including testing other RadSec endpoints.
